Taittinger Prestige Rosé gets its lovely pink colour from the addition of still Pinot Noir wine to the blend, also adding to the rich complexity on the palate and the aromas of red fruits on the nose. This is a great wine for an aperitif or for drinking with desert.
Bright ruby. An overtly fruity and slightly simple nose is composed by notes of strawberry, cherry, raspberry and yeast. The round, supple and easy-to-like flavors are supported by an almost soft mousse before terminating in a mildly sweet finish that exhibits a touch of bitter cherry. While there is nothing technically amiss here I found this to be borderline dull.

(70% pinot noir and 30% chardonnay; L1357SP00500): Vivid orange-pink. Aromas of raspberry, candied rose and sweet butter, with a deeper cherry pit quality in the background. Offers juicy red fruit and tangerine flavors that become toastier and spicier with aeration. Clings impressively on the finish, which features zesty mineral and citrus pith nuances. I like this wine's blend of power and vivacity.
70% Pinots Noir and Meunier, 30% Chardonnay. Pale
strawberry pink. Clean but pretty neutral nose. Fresh and dry with just a touch
of astringency on the end. Competent without being notable.

A firm, toasty rosé, with roasted hazelnut and smoke notes underscoring kirsch, dried strawberry, piecrust and fresh ginger flavors. This is lip-smacking, softened and balanced by a fine, creamy texture. Drink now through 2023. 3,000 cases imported. –AN
