2013 La Chautarde Côteaux Varois Rosé

Scores: JR:15 AVG: 75
Domaine La Chautarde consists of two family owned properties in Provence which specialise in rosé wine. 80% of their production is rosé and the care they put into making rosé wines is obvious. The Côteaux Varois AOC Rosé is made from the typical Provence grapes of Grenache, Cinsault and Carignan. It has a lovely light pink colour and red fruits on the nose and palate. The perfect summer drink!

Majestic apparently have over 40% of the UK market for Provençal wine, presumably thanks to wines like this. Very pale pink. Off dry and floral. Sweet, sour and simple.
