2011 Chateau Le Pey Magnum
$750.00
A Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blend from this 32 hectare estate and made in a modern style. The wine is aged in oak for twelve months, with a quarter of the oak being new. There’s warmth to the black hedgerow and plum fruits that are the hallmark of this wine and they are nicely contained in a blanket of ripe tannins and peppery spices. An excellent, well-priced dining wine.

50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Merlot. Toasty, assertive oak. Mid-weight fruit. Modern, sleek fruit, with a traditional furry tannin. Pleasant if unassuming. (RH)
