1983 Opus One

Sorry, this product is sold out.

Opus One is a modern wine legend; a Californian collaboration between Chateau Mouton Rothschild and Robert Mondavi that began in 1979. The name 'Opus' comes from the Latin musical term referring to a composers inaugural work and was chosen so that it would have meaning in both the French and American markets. 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot and 7% Cabernet Franc - it's a Bordeaux blend with American flair! The wine is aged in new French oak for almost two years and this adds colour and breadth to the already generous black orchard fruits. A winning combination of power and complexity makes this an irresistible choice.
