Ruinart have a long-established reputation for producing Champagne's of the very highest quality. It is the first Champagne house, with a history dating back to 1729 when Nicolas Ruinart, a Reims draper, started an account ledger devoted to 'wine with bubbles'. These first wines were intended as gifts for the draper's clients but it wouldn't be long before the wines were being sold commercially. The success of the house has endured and Ruinart remains one of the most desirable Champagnes.
