Burgundy Discovery runs wine tours to small Domaines in Burgundy. We took their Grand Premier wine tour in March 2009. We had arranged the tour through email prior to travelling to France - a very easy process. On the day of the tour, David & Lynne picked us up from our hotel in their comfortable Land Rover and then picked up the other couple that was taking the tour that day. WIth just 2-3 couples on each tour the tours are very personal. We were taken to three domaines in total and tasted some very nice wines, including one barrel sample from a wine that was undergoing malolatic fermentation (this was not so nice at the time but if the other wines from the domaine are anything to go by it will be excellent once bottled). All the way through the tour David and Lynne answered all the questions we had about the area, wines, viticulture and vinification. Overall it was an excellent day. The only slight negative note was they weren't able to help with shipping wines back home, so we could only buy what we could carry!
