As is known, per grape varieties, wines are grouped into red, white, and rose.
Per sugar content, wines can be divided into four types.
- Dry: sugar content (glucose) ≤0g/L. Or difference value of total sugar content and total acid (tartaric acid) ≤ 2.0g/L, the highest sugar content is 9.0g/L.
- Semi-dry: sugar content is more than that of dry wine, highest value is 12.0g/L. Or difference value of total sugar content and total acid (tartaric acid) ≤0g/L, the highest sugar content is 18.0g/L.
- Semi-sweet: sugar content is more than that of semi-dry wine, highest value is 45.0g/L.
- Sweet: sugar content is more than 45.0g/L.
