20 Years of HK Wine Industry

Since the year 2008 HK government repealed rules of customs clearance and control for wine taxes, red and white wines imports increase a lot.  Hong Kong is always the biggest wine import and export trade center in Asia.

Hong Kong owns large wine traders who have very rich experience in wine industry. They have close business relationships with high end chateaux from France, US and Australia. Experts purchase these wines and keep them in professional wine cellars to protect their high quality.

According to a research of Commercial and Economic Development Bureau, this March the wine value exported from HK to mainland hits 3.55 billion HK$, which is 76.5% of the total value of all exported wines, 13% to Macau and 6% to Vietnam.
