Tuscan Wine Region
Tuscany is one of the most famous wine regions in Europe. The vineyards make a series of well-known wines in many styles. The weather is warm. It’s useful to plant grapes and to balance the sugars, acidity and aromatics.
Italian wine grape, Sangiovese is the key variety in almost all of Tuscany's top reds. It’s planted the most extensively among all the grape varieties in Italy. In Montalcino, it goes by the name Brunello. We carry 2007 Siro Pacenti Brunello di Montalcino.
Usually Sangiovese is mixed with Bordeaux grape-Cabernet Sauvignon in certain proportion. Chianti is produced this way (the percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon is no more than 15.) We have 2013 Contea di Lucca Chianti and 2010 Contea di Lucca Chianti.
